INDUCTION TRAINING

Induction training for the newly recruited Munsiff/Magistrate trainees commenced on 17th January, 2011 and 18 trainees attended the training programme. Training for 18 trainees will be over only by January 2012. During the Induction training, trainees are enlightened on both substantive and procedural aspects of Civil and Criminal Laws. Academy arranged lectures on various topics in different branches of law. Classes were taken by the Hon'ble Judges and former Judges of the High Court, eminent lawyers, legal luminaries, subjects experts from various fields, senior officers of the High Court, Senior officers of subordinate judiciary and the Director, Addl. Director, Dy. Director and Asst. Director of the Kerala Judicial Academy.

2. Training Programme for Junior Lawyers.

A unique training programme for the junior lawyers in the name and style ‘Legal Profession – Retain Nobility – Preserve Majesty’ was started by the Kerala Judicial Academy in association with the Bar Council of Kerala. The Programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Cyriac Joseph, Judge, Supreme Court of India. The Hon’ble the Chief Justice of the High Court of Kerala Mr. Justice Jasti Chelameswar, Hon’ble President of the Kerala Judicial Academy Mr. Justice Pius C. Kuriakose and other Hon’ble Judges and dignitaries participated in the inaugural function held at T.D.M. Hall, Ernakulam on 30/10/2010. The inaugural meeting was followed by classes for the first batch of junior lawyers drawn from the 8 Bar Associations in the Ernakulam District. Training for the Supervisory Staff of Lower Courts

The Academy conducted a training programme for the Supervisory staff of the Lower Courts at the Kerala Judicial Academy on 10-5-2010 & 11-5-2010. The target groups were:

CivilSide :Sheristadars, Senior Superintendents, Junior Superintendents and Fair Copy Superintendents of the Civil Side.

Criminal Side :Sheristadars, Junior Superintends and Head Clerks of Criminal Wing.
